Classroom news- yes; assignments- yes; spelling- yes; pictures- no; information about the teacher- no; contact information- no; is it appealing and easy to navigates- yes; specifically what else is it used for- supply list, lunch menu, classroom rules, schedule, parents information, information about subjects; upcoming events- no; overall rating- good.
2. Do you use email to communicate with parents of the students as a whole?
Yes, I do use email to communicate the parents that have email.
3. Do you send home printed classroom communication?
Yes, I send out classroom newsletters.
4. Do you use a digital camera in your classroom as part of communication or anything else?
Yes, digital cameras are used as part of communication.
5. Are parents or community members encourage to volunteer in your school and your classroom?
Yes, parents and community members are encouraged to volunteer in both the school and my classroom.
6. Are parents or community members involved in daily activities in your classroom?
No, they are not involved in daily activities in my classroom. They are occasionally involved in my classroom but not daily.
7. What is the most challenging thing about working with parents?
Disciplining the students whose parents are working in the classroom as well as not letting the parents become distractions in the classroom are the most challenging things about working with the parents.
8. What is the most enjoyable thing in working with parents?
The most enjoyable thing about working with parents is allowing them to see day to day achievements and growth in their student.
9. Is parent involvement increased or decreased since you began teaching?
Parent involvement has increased since I began teaching.
10. Demographics- grade level or subject taught- number of years taught- number of students taught each day?
Caucasian and Native American, 4th grade, I've taught for six years, usually around 41 students per day.
